Vimy Lacrosse Has Strong Showing at Junior A Draft
Vimy Lacrosse continues to be at the forefront of lacrosse development as it again boasts several current and former student-athletes as draft picks into the Alberta Junior A Lacrosse League. Last Thursday night the RMLL Junior A North entry draft was held in Edmonton Alberta. Inside this restaurant coaches and general managers calculated as anxious graduating midget lacrosse players sat in suspense. Among these many high level athletes were a multitude of current and former Vimy lacrosse student-athletes. There were seven current Vimy players and two former players taken in the draft, and although not all of them were present to accept their celebratory draft t-shirts, they all deserve recognition for such a wonderful accomplishment. Congratulations to the following individuals:
Drafted 5th Overall to the Edmonton Blues Jr A: Jaydan Green
Drafted 6th Overall to the St Albert Miners Jr A: Carson Theirault (Former)
Drafted 7th Overall to the Edmonton Blues Jr A: Jack Marlow
