Vimy Lacrosse Adds Alumnus Tristan Rai to Staff Roster

We are happy to announce that our newest addition to the Vimy Lacrosse instructional roster is Tristan Rai. Tristan is an alumnus of Vimy Lacrosse and will add to a long list of Vimy alumni who have come back to the school as a staff member.

Tristan brings with him a sterling academic and athletic record. Tristan completed his high school years at Westminster School, which is a preparatory school in Connecticut. During his time at Westminster, Tristan played lacrosse and hockey, spending time captaining both teams and was named the school’s most outstanding athlete in his senior year. He also impressed in the classroom as an AP Scholar with Honor in 2014. Lehigh University took note of his accomplishments, awarding Tristan a scholarship to play lacrosse at the Division 1 school.

At Lehigh, Tristan was a 4-year starter as an attackman averaging 45.5 points/year and ending his career 4th in school history for points scored. Off the field, Tristan continued to excel in the classroom, being named the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

In 2019, Tristan was drafted into the National Lacrosse League by the New England Black Wolves. During the 2019-2020 season, Tristan played with the Black Wolves and was traded to the Saskatchewan Rush prior to the season being shut down due to COVID-19.

Tristan represented the Australian National team at the 2014 and 2019 World Indoor Lacrosse Championships.

He also has an extensive coaching background in both the box and field lacrosse game. He has coached Team Alberta and various club teams as well as being an Assistant Coach at Choate boarding school in the US during the 2019-2020 season.

We believe that the Vimy Lacrosse student-athletes and staff will benefit greatly from the knowledge, experience and energy that Tristan will share with the members of our program.
