Vimy Lacrosse’ Mackenzie Reid DII Independent Conference Player of the Year

Vimy Lacrosse’ Mackenzie Reid has another accolade to add to her athletic resume.

The Chowan University Junior was named the DII Independent Conference player of the year on Tuesday when the All-Independent Women’s Lacrosse Team was announced.

This season Reid scored 62 goals, had a shot-on-goal percentage of .860 and a shooting percentage of .667 in addition to 59 draw controls.

Reid is a shining example of a student-athlete taking advantage of the opportunities available in the NCAA. Her time at Vimy Lacrosse prepared her for post-secondary athletics and the challenges of the field lacrosse game at Chowan University.
