Vimy Lacrosse at Rexall Place

Vimy Lacrosse experienced a great day at Rexall Place last week playing on the Edmonton Rush floor. The opening of the Edmonton Rush training camp provided an opportunity for Vimy Lacrosse to play where the pros play. Recently retired Rush Captain and Vimy Lacrosse Teacher, Jimmy Quinlan, led the Vimy Lacrosse group through a two hour practice on the Crystal Glass Field. The students were extremely excited about the chance to play on the big stage where the National Lacrosse League (NLL) stars play. The enthusiasm of the students was clearly evident as they ran hard and executed drills with precision.

Vimy Lacrosse wishes to thank the Edmonton Rush and Coach Quinlan for making this a dream come true. It was an awesome experience for the students and one that they will always remember. With the recent draft of Vimy alumnus Kevin Pym to the Buffalo Bandits of the NLL, the students realize that the road to the pro league is within reach. We hope down the line to see more of our students making it to the NLL floor.
