This new site will feature news and information from every AAD sports program at Vimy. Vimy Hockey, Vimy Sport Rec and Vimy Lacrosse student-athletes are all VIMY student-athletes, so it makes sense that there should be ONE site to represent them.
The main page will feature all the latest news, featured student-athletes and staff from every program.
Want to just know whats going on in your sport of choice at Vimy? Click on the sport tab at the top of the page and you will be brought to a sport-specific page, featuring news items based on that specific sport, their featured staff and student-athlete as well as sport-specific ads and notices.
Here are a few features of the new site:
- The Login Button, to access your AAD Account is located in the top right hand corner on every page
- Social sharing on each article, so you’re one click away from sharing Vimy news on social media and email
- Side bar ads will keep you advised of deals on the AAD store, upcoming events and our sponsors
- Twitter ticker on every landing page, to give you up to the minute news from all Vimy programs
- Updated Staff section, with a photo and information on your favourite Vimy staff members
- Upgraded featured student-athlete and staff, with a student and staff from each program represented
In conjunction with the launch of the site, the twitter handle @hockeyprogram has been changed to @VimyEdmonton. Follow @VimyEdmonton for up to the minute updates and news from all Vimy sports programs.
