Originally from Harrow, Ontario, Cody moved to Alberta in 2021. Cody played AAA and Junior hockey in the Windsor/Essex country area finishing with the Essex 73’s Jr hockey club where they would win the league back to back years in 2016 & 2017. During his junior years of hockey, Cody worked as a skills instructor for Proven Performance Hockey as well as coaching his high school hockey team.

Upon finishing up playing, Cody then jumped into the coaching side of the game immediately with the Essex 73’s followed by two seasons as an Assistant Coach with the U18AAA Windsor Spitfires team and with the Lasalle Vipers Jr Hockey team. He then moved to Olds, Alberta where his brother was the coach of the Olds College Broncos Women’s team where he became an assistant coach with the program as well as the U18AA head coach for the Olds Grizzlys minor hockey team. After another two years in Olds, Cody moved to the Edmonton area in 2023 where he became the head coach of the U17AAA Leduc Oil Kings as well as following his brother to MacEwan University Griffins Women’s hockey program as an assistant coach. During those two years, Cody spent time as support staff for the Vimy Hockey Program. Currently, Cody is in his second season as the U18AAA head coach in Leduc as well as transitioning to the skills coach for the women’s team at MacEwan. This will mark Cody’s first season as an on ice lead instructor for the hockey program.
