Vimy Esports Aims To Add High School Academy
Vimy Esports is happy to announce that after a successful start of our first year with our junior high student-athletes, we will be opening registration to incoming grade 10 and 11 student-athletes in February of 2023.
Should high school registrations be sufficient to support a new class of student-athletes, Vimy Esports high school academy will commence at the beginning of the new school year in the fall of 2023.
There are many ways for any student-athlete or family to explore Vimy Esports to see if it fits their academic and athletic goals. Potential student-athletes can register for a free shadow day by clicking the link below:
Shadow Days are an opportunity for student-athletes entering grades 7-11 next school year to attend Vimy Esports for a day to get a feel for what a day in the life of a Vimy Esports student-athlete is like.
Vimy will also be hosting their annual Open House on February 9th from 6pm-8pm at our campus at 8205-90 ave. This in-person event will be an opportunity to tour the school, see the Vimy Esports staff and training facility and ask any questions you may have about our academy. This event is open to the public and no registration is required to attend.
Another exciting opportunity will be the Alberta Esports Expo, which will be held at the Edmonton EXPO Centre on Family Day Weekend (February 18th/19th, 2023). Vimy Esports will have a booth at this free event where families can meet our staff as well as attend a panel discussion about esports in Edmonton schools.
