Please note that down payments for returning student-athletes will be processed on July 15th, 2020. Student-athletes who are new to AAD programming should have had their down payments processed at the time of approval into their program of choice.
If your family received a credit for 2019-2020 programming and that credit was not used on hard goods (such as clothing/equipment at our Year End Sale) or services, the credit will be applied to your down payment cost on the 15th.

In regard to school re-entry and programming for 2020-21, we have not received confirmation as to how the return to school will look to start the year. We have built 3 scenarios for our programming that are based on the Alberta Education 2020-21 School Re-entry Plan. The outlines for those scenarios can be found below:
Alberta Education Scenario 1 – In-School classes resume (near normal with health measures)
What this means for AAD Programming:
- We would anticipate minimal change to the amount of in-person programming that student-athletes at Donnan and Vimy would receive.
What this means for your down payment and installment payments:
- Down payment and installment payments (10 payments from August to May) remain as scheduled.
Alberta Education Scenario 2 – In-school classes partially resume (with additional health measures)
What this means for AAD Programming:
- We would anticipate that this “hybrid” scenario would impact the amount and/or the delivery of in-person programming that student-athletes at Donnan and Vimy would receive. This could mean less in-person programming, smaller group in-person sessions, programming at different times of the day/week and/or an adjustment to venues for training.
What this means for your down payment and installment payments:
- There would be no refund of down payment, but installment payments may be adjusted to reflect programming changes.
Alberta Education Scenario 3 – At-home learning continues (in-school classes are suspended/canceled)
What this means for AAD Programming:
- We would anticipate that our staff would continue to build and deliver a virtual program for our student-athletes at Donnan and Vimy. Student-athletes and their families would be given a choice as to whether they would like to participate in virtual programming at a reduced cost or withdraw from the program until such time as in-person programming resumes.
What this means for your down payment and installment payments:
- Any student-athlete who withdraws in this scenario, would have their 2020-2021 down payment and any installment payments that have been made fully refunded.
- Any student-athlete who chooses to participate in virtual programming, would receive a partial down payment refund and a reduced-cost installment payment plan that they would agree to.
All of these scenarios are subject to change based on the advice and protocols of Donnan/Vimy Administration, EPSB, Alberta Health and Provincial Sport Organizations.
