Vimy Lacrosse’ Ward Sisters Commit To Admissions Process at Dartmouth College

Vimy Lacrosse is excited to announce that Jazmyne Ward and Jevlynn Ward have verbally committed to the admissions process at Dartmouth College. Jazmyne is planning to enter Dartmouth College in the Fall of 2018 with sister Jevlyn entering in the Fall of 2019. Both Jazmyne and Jevlynn started in Grade 9 at Vimy Ridge Academy. They have embraced the Vimy Lacrosse spirit and have excelled in both the box lacrosse and women’s field game. They immediately became leaders in the burgeoning female field lacrosse program at Vimy Ridge. Their energy and competitiveness have been the trademark of their game. It is this style of play that NCAA coaches quickly noticed. Vimy Lacrosse is extremely proud of Jazmyne and Jevlynn for their unbelievable commitment to their academic and athletics that has enabled them to secure this verbal commitment to Dartmouth. They have worked very hard to reach this objective with the knowledge that they have a lot of work ahead of them.

Paul Rai, the Vimy Lacrosse Director has worked with Jazzmyne and Jevlynn, coaching them both in both box and field lacrosse.

“I am so proud of Jazmyne and Jevlynn. They are great young women with excellent futures ahead of them. I am happy for them because they will be attending an excellent college and because Dartmouth is my alma mater. I was very fortunate to attend Dartmouth and now to see these two great sisters committing to Dartmouth makes me very happy. Jazmyne and Jevlynn are continuing the great trend of Vimy Lacrosse student-athletes moving on to play college lacrosse. They also are again proving the strength of combining the skills of box lacrosse into the women’s field lacrosse game. They are great leaders at Vimy Lacrosse and I guarantee there will be more following in their footsteps into the NCAA. I can not wait to travel to Dartmouth to watch them play.”
