Vimy Hockey Spring Checking Camp Registration Now Open!

Vimy Hockey is excited to announce our third annual checking camp. Registration is now open for the camp, which starts at the end of March.


The focus for the checking camp will be:

  • Body contact – How to give and receive hits
  • Checking and angling – Putting yourself in safe positions
  • Strategy –  Eliminating time and space of the opposing player
  • Wall-play – Battling the puck out of the zone, learning how to position yourself to take a hit and make a play
  • Small area games -With a focus on playing games with body contact, tight turns in smalls area, and different ways to create space while on offence 

This spring camp sessions will be run by Vimy Hockey instructors Nathan Dempsey, Zack Dailey, Ryan Faulkner, and our support staff. 


Total cost for the 5 session checking camp is $275.

Please note that this camp is only open to skaters, not goalies. 
You’re more than welcome and encouraged to invite your teammates to sign up for this camp!

TO REGISTER:

If you are currently a student-athlete at Vimy Ridge Academy, please follow these steps:
-Log into your AAD account
-Click Registrations
-Under Program click Vimy Hockey Checking Camp
-Click Submit

If you are NOT an athlete at Vimy Ridge Academy, please see our
step-by-step registration instructions to help create an account and get registered (only takes a couple minutes). Once an account is registered you will need to follow the 4 steps above.
